Alcohol and painkillers against elevated body temperature and cough, as well as their metabolites, were found in the bodies of Lav P.S. (25) and his wife Martina P.S. (23), who took their own lives by jumping from a building in Novi Sad in early March, Telegraf.rs has learned

"It follows from the autopsy report that both persons died due to injuries they sustained as a result of falling from a height," it has been confirmed for our portal.

According to our source, alcohol and drugs were found in the bodies of the deceased couple.

"From the submitted minutes on the chemical-toxicological tests of the samples taken from those persons, it follows that alcohol was found in the body of both, as well as painkillers used to treat elevated body temperature and cough and their metabolites."

Drawings depicting afterlife according to Egyptian mythology were found on the walls of the apartment where the young married couple who later jumped from a highrise lived, and where the dead bodies of their toddlers were also found, Telegraf.rs previously reported.

According to the initial, unofficial information, these discoveries led the police officers to suspect that Lav P.S. and Marina P.S. were members of a cult. The Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the police, was verifying these allegations.

The bodies of their children who were found dead in that apartment were sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The scene at the place where two boys, aged 1 and 3, were found was horrific.

Neighbors at the time said they were shocked by the unprecedented crime that happened in their neighborhood. They stressed in statements for Telegraf.rs that they had no inkling that such great tragedy could happen.

The police called in an emergency medical team to the scene, which, unfortunately, could only pronounce the children dead.

Two residents of the building from which the couple later jumped to their own deaths, one of whom lives on the top floors, told us that the two young people did not live there, and that the exit to the roof was broken and smashed.

Another neighbor said that he was on a trip to Belgrade and returned during the investigation of the scene.

"It was terrifying, I parked near the building and walked past it, I did not expect such a sight, I could not sleep that night. It's terrible, my children are that age, all kinds of things went through my mind. The residents say that they don't know how the two young people entered the building, because the doors are locked, and that they did not hear any party or anything else being held in the building," he told Telegraf.
