"Trap was set for Serbia" Vucic: "They fed their baby ammunition to attack us! It's an insult to common sense"
Vucic: "I didn't accidentally say that I could have filled the entire (UN) hall with Serb women and men who lost loved ones or were themselves the victims of Albanian terror"
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said last evening that at the session of the UN Security Council on Monday, the UNMIK report, which was the topic, was the least discussed, since a trap was prepared in advance for Serbia.
He told RTS that some people wanted to listen to him when he spoke about the intolerable situation Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija find themselves in, while others behaved like fans and were "feeding their baby (Pristina) ammunition to attack Serbia."
"And that's the only thing they're interested in. I couldn't believe it. The British representative is an extremely smart man, a serious man. When he started talking about the referendum and the elections, it was an insult to common sense," said Vucic.
He also said that the whole setup was organized against the Serbian delegation.
According to Vucic, the representative of Malta, who chaired the session of the UN Security Council, told him that there was not much she could do, and that no one informed our delegation that women presented by Vjosa Osmani as the victims of rape would be brought to the session.
"I don't want to say alleged (victims), I don't want to believe that it's possible for someone to invent something like that, but I didn't accidentally say that I could have filled the entire (UN) hall with Serb women and men who lost loved ones or were themselves the victims of Albanian terror, but no one told us that such a thing (Pristina's representatives bringing the women) was possible", said Vucic.
He added that the president of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Vjosa Osmani, lied that these were members of her cabinet, and that Serbian Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric published a list of her cabinet members yesterday, that includes none those women.
"And they all knew about it. And that's why the start (of the session) was delayed, because the protocol didn't want to let them in, but then some of the big powers intervened, that's why they let them in. They wanted to set a trap for me, about which I could not say anything because they would say, 'Vucic, you are not a man. you refuse to kneel before women who have been raped'," said Vucic.
He said that he had to defend the interests of his country and that there have been many murder and rape victims among the Serbs, but that the Kosovo delegation created a political theater out of it all, in which there was no mention of the UNMIK Report.
"But what does all this and those women and everything that happened in 1999 have to do with the UMNIK report? Of course, nothing. And no one interrupted them for a single second. I was always referring to the UNMIK report and talking about it and the responsibility of the head of UNMIK and everyone else, about what is good and what is bad in the UNMIK report. That's why we were there, that was the topic," said Vucic.
He added that he could have been talking about the weather or something else.
"But that shows you how they are preparing in every way to defeat Serbia. I was grateful to many representatives yesterday, I am grateful, to be honest, even to the French representative, regardless of the fact that he had a completely different approach to solving the Kosovo and Metohija problem, for the fair approach and statements", said Vucic.
The president also said he was also grateful to China, Russia, Algeria, Sierra Leone, and Mozambique.
