Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said last night that Serbia will fight in the United Nations to protect its national and state interests and that it will show the whole world how it is doing that.

"We have a difficult time ahead of us, but whether or not we lose formally, I am almost sure that it will be by a small margin and I am sure that we will show the world how national and state interests of our country are protected. Thank you all for your attention, thank you all for your love for Serbia," Vucic said in a video posted on his Instagram page "buducnostsrbijeav".

Earlier in the day Vucic participated in the UN Security Council session dedicated to the six-month report on UNMIK's activities in Kosovo and Metohija, after which the Serbian delegation hosted a reception at the UN, with, according to Vucic, 125 guests.

"I am happy because we fought and I want to tell all people in Serbia that I only promised one thing before leaving for New York. And that is that we will fight until the last moment regardless of all personal and any other risks. I want to thank all the people who worked and prepared the session of the Security Council, who helped me oppose something that looked like a set-up, like political theater," said Vucic.

He thanked all the people in Serbia who believe in their country, who believe in their leadership and who know that Serbia will win in the end.

"Our fight will never stop. I thank the people for the huge support and love they show for our Serbia. Serbia will win!," Vucic posted on Instagram.
