Open wounds behind which the bone is visible and numerous stitches. This is what the foot of an unfortunate woman looks like, who went for what should have been a routine intervention to remove the thickened skin from her heel, and now has wounds similar to those people sustain in a war.

In cooperation with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office, the police today arrested two employees of the Beomedicus Belgrade specialist medical practice, beautician M.Z. and doctor D.O.

They are charged with committing a serious offense against human health, referring to patient A.I., which happened during a routine intervention to remove the thickened skin from the outer part of her foot.

Complications then occurred during the intervention that was done in an unprofessional way, as a result of which the victim suffered serious physical injuries - a foot deformity that had to be repaired by surgery of the entire left foot, which included a skin transplant.

The prosecution will make an announcement after questioning the suspects, which will be done today.
