Woman knocks down 3-year old and keeps driving: Father stops the car car

A girl (3) was hit by a car in the neighborhood of Zemunske Kapije on Wednesday around 8 pm and suffered horrific injuries to her face. Her parents were with the child at the time of the accident, and the woman driving the car did not even notice that she had pulled her along until the girl's father ran after them and stopped the car.

According to information available to us, the girl was crossing the road with her brother and parents when a car passed by and "hooked" and dragged her several meters. The woman behind the wheel stopped the car only when the father and the mother rushed to save the child and eventually pulled her out from under the vehicle.

We have learned that the car knocked the girl down and drove over her, but the child was not caught by the wheels.

The panicked parents took the girl to the Zemun hospital, from where she was transferred to the clinic in Tirsova Street.

She has large injuries on her face and chin, 10 stitches, and was released to continue treatment at home.
