Excavator seen in front of missing 2-year-old Danka's home: Police block access
There is an excavator at the scene, although there is still no official information as to why
A Telegraf.rs portal crew is today again front of the Ilic family's weekend home, where 2-year-old girl Danka Ilic disappeared on Tuesday around 13:45 and is still missing.
As we have learned at the scene, police teams cordoned off the house Banjsko Polje, near the town of Bor, eastern Serbia, while an excavator arrived in front of it.
There is still no official information as to why. Our reporter says that the police are digging open manholes/pits located around the house.
We have learned that the police and local utility company's workers have been clearing the area since this morning.
According to her mother, Danka disappeared as the woman turned away to give water to her other child. The missing toddler was wearing purple pants, an olive green jacket, and had her hair tied in a ponytail.
After Danka's disappearance, Serbia's version of Amber Alert, Pronadji me ("Find Me") was activated for the first time in this country.
Over 27 hours, members of the Gendarmerie, regular police, firefighters, Mountain Rescue Service, as well as many locals searched for the girl.
After this period, the Interior Ministry, MUP, suspended the physical search of the area around the house in Banjsko Polje.
