Dacic: Decision to recommend allowing so-called Kosovo to join CoE is disgraceful and scandalous

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said late yesterday that the decision of the Political Committee of the CoE Parliamentary Assembly to recommend the admission of so-called Kosovo into the Council of Europe is disgraceful and scandalous.

"The decision of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is disgraceful and scandalous, it destroys all the principles on which the Council of Europe is based, because for the first time it has been proposed to allow a territory that is not a member of the United Nations and is not internationally recognized to join.

That decision threatens and violates our territorial integrity and sovereignty, and represents more evidence of the end of international law."
