2-year-old girl Danka Ilic from Banjsko Polje near Bor, in eastern Serbia disappeared yesterday around 2 pm. From that moment on, the police, firefighters, Mountain Service, citizens, relatives are all looking for the child. Miners from Bor joined the search for the girl.

"We are organized as a rescue unit made up of miners from Bor and companies for underground coal mining in Bogovina, Lubnica and Vrska Cuka. We are searching along the Brestovica River. From the Brestovacka spa to the Stari Zlot road to the bridge on the Brestovica. The terrain is very inaccessible. Even we, who are trained for hard physical work in the mine, have difficulty moving around.

I can say that it is almost impossible for a 2-year-old child to have passed through there. I assure you that we have covered every corner. From Banjsko Polje and over the hill. We will continue the search in agreement with the police," said miner Miroslav.

The Interior Ministry, MUP, has activated the "Pronadji me" ("Find Me") application, the Serbian version of Amber Alert, for the first time yesterday.
