Large amount of amphetamine seized at border crossing: Almost 45 kilos found in a truck (VIDEO)

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Police Administration and the Police Administration in Vranje, in cooperation with the Customs Administration, seized about 42.3 kilograms of a powdery substance believed to be amphetamine and arrested a Bulgarian citizen, I.N.I. (44) on suspicion that he committed a criminal offense of production and distribution of narcotic drugs.

The police found 63 packages with a substance suspected to be amphetamine at the Presevo border crossing entrance to Serbia. The drugs were transported in a specially made space inside the tank of a truck driven by the suspect.

The suspect is now detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje along with a criminal complaint.
