Dacic to meet Vucic next week for consultations regarding Serbia's new prime minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic announced today that the coalition gathered around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) will next week hold consultations about Serbia's next prime minister with President Aleksandar Vucic.

Dacic also said that the SPS strives to continue cooperation with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

"In this regard, we are proud of all the good results achieved in the previous period," Dacic told TV Prva, Tanjug reported.

When it comes to the city of Belgrade, he said that they are not in a position to have a majority and will see how it all turns out.

"We have local elections coming up, when will they be held? I think in June, and if there is no majority in Belgrade, (local) elections will be held again, in the timeframe envisaged by the law. It's a shame that the authorities are not being constituted," said Dacic.

According to him, work will be done on strengthening the party, as well as cooperation with SNS.

"There will be discussion about a joint electoral list for the local elections," Dacic said.
