MMA fighter Stefan was savagely beaten, then stabbed to death: Young passer-by almost got killed as well

Serbian national team member Stefan Savic (23) was killed yesterday in Belgrade, and the police are still "combing through" the Dorcol neighborhood today in search of new evidence and, most likely, the knife with which the MMA fighter was stabbed.

Telegraf.rs has learned that the victim was first arguing with two young men in front of a well-known club.

"In order to avoid a fight, Savic started running away along Dunavska Street. At one point, the men caught up with him, knocked him to the pavement and started kicking him. Not long after, one of the attackers took out a blade and stabbed the young man," says our source involved in the investigation.

Bystander Stefan M. (22) tried to stop the gruesome violence, when one of the assailants stabbed him in the chest several times, using the same knife.

"A friend put Stefan M. in the car, and, while driving him to the hospital, informed the police that a crime took place in Dunavska Street. They told inspectors that they were passing by when they saw two men hitting and eventually stabbing a young man. As they tried to protect him, an attacker stabbed one of them in the chest. They explained that Stefan had run out of the car to help the victim whom he didn't even know," the source explained.

Stefan M. is now in the Emergency Center, in serious condition, while Stefan Savic has died.

The police obtained a video of the murder and based on it are tracking down the attackers.

The blade used to commit the crime has not yet been found.
