We learn: Measles confirmed in 3 more people! Teenager (18) in hospital, he only had 2 vaccines since birth
Three more cases of measles have been confirmed in Belgrade, Telegraf.rs has learned. As confirmed by the Public Health Institute, the illness was confirmed in a 4-year-old child, an 18-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman.
These three are not related, and as far as we are aware, only the woman has been vaccinated.
The 18-year-old did not receive the MMR vaccine, and has only been vaccinated twice since birth.
"He is hospitalized with pneumonia in the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases," the Institute told Telegraf.rs.
The woman who was also diagnosed with measles has milder symptoms and says she has been vaccinated.
"She was in contact with the first persons from Belgrade who were the first infected, i.e. with a mother and her son who contracted the virus abroad and brought measles to Serbia."
The 4-year-old boy diagnosed with measles has also not been vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.
