Scandal in Croatia: Effigies representing Vucic and Putin burned, video surfaces online
This masquerade ball was organized by KKU Poklade
A scandalous event took place yesterday in Kastel in the Split-Dalmatia district of Croatia, when the participants in a masquerade ball, after a march, burned effigies supposed to represent the presidents of Serbia and Russia Aleksandar Vucic and Vladimir Putin.
This happened according to reports in the Croatian press.
The same sources said that this masquerade ball was organized by KKU Poklade.
According to Croatian media, the 211th Carnival in Kastel included "watching the verdict to the culprit for all of last year's problems."
And, according to the residents of Kastel, "the Serbian and Russian presidents are to blame" - and so they proceeded to set ritualistic fire to the dolls designed to represent their likenesses.

Some Croatian media published a video showing the burning of the said effigies (captioned, "Kastel residents burned Putin and Vucic!"), but we have not been able to confirm the authenticity of the footage.
