Vulin on hysteria that everything not from West is malign: "If Russia does not survive, neither will Serbia"
He also stressed that he receives attacks, blackmail and threats from the West precisely because the West knows that what he is saying is what the Serbs are thinking
Aleksandar Vulin, until recently the head of Serbia's security-intelligence agency BIA, pointed out in an appearance on Happy TV that there is an anti-Russian hysteria in the world according to which everything that is not from the West is malign, adding that Serbia cannot survive as a free country unless Russia and China survive as free and independent countries.
"At the moment you have anti-Russian hysteria according to which everything that is not coming from the West is a lie and a malign influence. I have asked many heads of the world's security services what is the malign influence of Russia, but I have never received an answer. Let's be historically honest. I am not a Russian lawyer, nor do the Russians expect that from me, just as the West knows that I am not a Russian agent, so the Russians know that I am not their agent, but they know that I am a Serb and they know that I am exclusively a man of Belgrade and Banja Luka. Throughout history, if Russia had not survived, would Serbia have survived?
And if Russia does not survive now, will Serbia survive? If Russia were to be broken up and dismembered, how would we fare when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija, how would we fare when it comes to the integrity of our territory, beyond Kosovo and Metohija? Does anyone really think that Serbia would survive as it is, does anyone think that Serbia would remain free if Russia and China did not remain free. If Russia does not survive, neither will Serbia," Vulin said.
"West attacks me because I say what Serbs think"
He also stressed that he receives attacks, blackmail and threats from the West precisely because the West knows that what he is saying is what the Serbs are thinking.
"When I say that there will be unification, and there will be unification of the Serb people on both sides of the Drina and the creation of the Serbian World and the formalization of the Serbian World, they know that this is what the Serbs think and want, and we have the right to it. The process of unification has started and cannot stop. The West is attacking me because they knows that I am saying what the Serb people are thinking. The West is not surprised by my political views, because I have never hidden or changed them," said the founder of the Movement of Socialists and former director of BIA.
Aleksandar Vulin wondered how it is possible that the Serbs who were victorious in two world wars are not allowed to unite, but Germany, which was defeated in two world wars, was given that right.
"If someone had said in 1946 that Germany would unite, Churchill would have laughed, and as you can see, Germany has united. Why can't we Serbs unite? They lost, and we won, two world wars. The only thing not allowed is the unification of the Serbs. Whether President Vucic wants it or not, he is the president of all Serbs, and the Serbs have become a single political nation. That's how it is. The process of unification has started and it cannot be stopped," Aleksandar Vulin stressed.
He said that the West knows very well his political views and recognizes his struggle for Serb national interests, but also the results he achieved in strengthening an independent and sovereign Serbia.
"The West is not surprised by my political views. I have never hidden my political views nor have I never changed them. I was never part of the yellow scum (a derogatory term for the opposition in the 90s, who then came to power, and are now again the opposition), the October 5, so, behold, I became an advocate of the Serbian World and a supporter of cooperation with Russia. Every time, when a government was being formed, the Western powers would come to President Vucic and say - no Vulin.
Every time. And they'd come to me to tell me - if you continue like this, if you don't get smart - it's a no. The problem with me is that I don't change my political affiliations, and I don't hide them either. I have always been on the same side of the world and I will remain on the same, free side of the world," Aleksandar Vulin said on Happy TV.
