Serbian traffic police officers in Sremska Mitrovica last night stopped a 29-year-old man who was driving a Renault under the influence of cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines, methadone, and opiates.

The Interior Ministry, MUP, said that the police also found a small amount of what is suspected to be cannabis, as well as pills from the list of psychoactive substances in possession of three passengers in the car.

Therefore, after expert tests, criminal charges will be filed against them for unauthorized possession of narcotic drugs.

The driver was detained until noon today, after which he was to be brought before a misdemeanor judge.

The MUP once again appealed on all traffic participants, especially drivers, to consistently follow all traffic regulations, for their own safety and that of others.
