Horror in Belgrade: Mother neglected minor daughters, allowed her boyfriend to sexually abuse one

P.B. (43) has had an indictment filed against her before the third basic public prosecutor's office on suspicion that she committed two criminal acts of neglecting and abusing a minor.

The accusation is that that in the period from 2018 until the end of 2021, as a parent, she grossly neglected her duty of providing care and ensuring education, and instead neglected her two minor daughters, born in 2008 and 2011.

"She was under obligation to take care of her daughters, she did not do that, she allowed them to live in unhygienic conditions, they did not make sure they continued their education, she did not take care of their health, and they often stayed on the street and were exposed to danger. In addition to the above, the defendant did not take any measures to prevent her emotional partner from sexually abusing one of her two minor daughters, even though she was informed about it by the daughter," said the prosecution.

The man, A.S., is being prosecuted before the Higher Court in Belgrade. As for the woman, the Basic Court in Pancevo rendered a verdict in 2022, which completely stripped her of parental rights regarding both the minor victims.

The Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade suggested that the Third Basic Court in Belgrade, after the main trial and the presentation evidence, find the defendant guilty and sentence her to a single prison term of 10 months.
