Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the allegations coming from some opposition parties about election fraud are an "exit strategy and an alibi" for their poor results in the vote.

"The opposition miscalculated, they asked for elections to be held, which I was surprised by at the time because I knew the results of public opinion poll. I knew that their chances of getting any positive result at all were minimal," Dacic told TV Pink, Tanjug reported.

He assessed that the opposition continues with the policy that resulted in their debacle in the elections and which is based on hatred.

"Their policy is based on various obstructions, on various moves that irritated the citizens, on various threats that reflect badly on the image of Serbia. No one will now do political damage to Vucic or Dacic when they demonstrate in Serbia or when there are some violent incursions into institutions," said Dacic.

According to Dacic, the opposition did not present any goals and program for future activities.

"What is their political manifesto, you could not hear anything related to the issues. Now Vucic has presented the six-point plan for 2027, what is their answer and program to that," asked said.

He added that criticism of Serbia's policies is coming from various international addresses.

"One day, it's why didn't we impose sanctions against Russia, another, why are we developing relations with China, the third, why we don't join in on attacking Iran, and so on," Dacic said.

Speaking about the Non-Aligned Summit in Uganda, Dacic pointed out that Brussels did not like the presence of Serbia there.

"The EU thinks that we should not deal with those countries, because if you want to be a member of the European Union, you cannot be a member of the Non-Aligned Movement, but we are no longer a member of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Even though we founded it, even though more than a hundred members of the United Nations are members of the Non-Aligned Movement, we are only helping out," said Dacic.

Dacic noted that Serbia donated about 3,000 flags of the countries that participated in the summit in Uganda and added that the movement is on Serbia's side regarding the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"A large number of countries from the Non-Aligned Movement have not recognized Kosovo and we have to actively participate in all that. It is a place and an opportunity to talk to different countries. They understand us a little better than those in the West because they faced similar problems. They had to fight for their freedom, for their independence, against colonialism, and we gave them great and enormous support," said Dacic.
