Brnabic with Bratu and Hill on the Government's measures to improve position of national minorities
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with the head of the OSCE mission, Jan Bratu, and the US ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, about the measures implemented by the Government of Serbia to improve the position of national minorities.
Brnabic and her interlocutors discussed ways to further improve the position of minorities in Serbia, adding that the development of society as a whole and the strengthening of mutual trust is achieved exclusively in the spirit of tolerance, through dialogue, and through solving the challenges faced by the minorities, to which the policy of the Government of Serbia is particularly dedicated.
Serbia is a successful example of solving the issues of national minorities, which is evidenced by the continuous work on improving laws and other acts related to the adequate use of the languages and scripts of national minorities, added the prime minister, according to a government statement.
In this context, Brnabic stressed the minorities being represented in political and democratic processes.
The interlocutors told the prime minister that they will continue the cooperation that has yielded significant results so far and emphasized the importance of supporting continuous dialogue at the national and regional level on this issue.
