Driver overtook and killed another instantly: Details of horrific accident near Backa Topola

One driver was killed in a serious accident that happened this morning around 7 o'clock between Bajsa and Backa Topola.

As Telegraf learned from the Subotica Police the accident occurred when the driver of a passenger vehicle overtook, and then rammed into the pickup truck at full speed. The driver of the pickup died instantly.

Several people suffered serious injuries.

The road was closed, and the fire brigade and police quickly arrived on the scene.

As you can see in the pictures from the scene, the vehicles are completely crushed, the level of force of the impact is indicated by the fact that one of the vehicles is unrecognizable after the accident.
