Thick white smoke, which is created by burning gas, is especially visible at night, when it is illuminated by the lights from the city streets.

Many people are complaining of having difficulty breathing in the evening, which is common where there are many individual heating devices.

However, some took photos of the smoke from the chimney of a heating plant, and left comments on social networks. We also took similar photos.

As they say in BeoElektrane, the white smoke you see is actually water vapor.

"No heating plant that is part of BeoElektrane currently uses fuel oil to produce thermal energy. The thick white smoke that can be seen originates from water vapor, which is one of the components of combustion," the company wrote in its response to Telegraf.
