It was calm on Friday afternoon at the place where a barge transporting artificial fertilizer sank in the Danube this morning, but the bridge leading to Ilok, Croatia was still closed to traffic, and the police in both Serbia and Croatia were diverting vehicles to alternative border crossings.

Most citizens who use this crossing every day have already been informed, so there were no queues and traffic jams. The footage we took from a drone does not show any pollution in the water, nor any material left in the Danube. Because this bridge marks the state border, we were not allowed to film the damage done to it, but talking to the locals, we found out that surface damage can be seen on one of the pillars.

"This morning I heard about the accident, when my daughter was supposed to leave for Croatia, later I saw everything in the media, but I still don't know if there is some threat, each of the neighbors is now telling their own theories, that's always the case," said Branko, who lives near the river bank.

Our photos show a barge not far from the bridge, but it was unclear if it is the same one that started to sink.

In the meantime, the ship itself was moved to a port, but at the entrance we were told that this was private property and that we had no right to take photos either from the ground or from the air. The policemen we found on patrol said they were not allowed to tell us anything and that we have to make an official inquiry.

This morning, the Croatian police said that the case is under the jurisdiction of Serbia, that they have been informed about everything and are monitoring the situation.
