President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke today by phone with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and thanked him for the fact that Greece respects Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty (i.e., does not recognize Kosovo), as well as for its contribution to stability in the region.

The two officials agreed that all conditions exist for the cooperation between the two countries to continue to strengthen in various areas this year, emphasizing the opportunities provided by the energy sector, said a statement from the president's press office.

Mitsotakis reiterated Greece's support for Serbia's EU path, with the hope that progress will be more visible this year.

The two officials agreed to meet soon in Belgrade to discuss bilateral relations, the regional situation and global issues in more detail.

On that occasion, the arrival of representatives of Greek companies is expected, to discuss development of economic cooperation with Serbian entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed great interest in Greece's participation in EXPO2027 (that will be held in Belgrade), and agreed with President Vucic that this specialized world exhibition is a great opportunity not only for Serbia, but also for the entire region.
