Novak Djokovic chosen as best athlete in the world!

According to the choice of the prestigious French portal L'Equipe, Novak Djokovic was the best athlete in the world in 2023.

Novak was picked without almost any competition since he had as many as 515 points more than the second placed Leon Marchand (swimmer), i.e. 528 points more than Max Verstappen (F1 driver).

Following them are Noah Lyles (athletics), Siya Kolisi (rugby), Marco Odermatt (skier), Johannes Boe (biathlon), Tadej Pogacar (cyclist), Matthew Mathieu Van der Poel (cyclist), Erling Haaland (footballer).

As for women athletes, gymnast Simone Biles was chosen as the best 812 points, followed by skier Mikaela Shiffrin and swimmer Kathy Ledecky.

Aitana Bonmati (football), Demi Vollering (cyclist), Faith Kipyegon (athletics), Shericka Jackson (athletics), Jennifer Hermoso (football), Tigist Assefa (athletics), Lotte Kopecky (cyclist) come next on the list.

L'Equipe has been giving this award every year since 1946, and voting is completely secret.
