Owner of escaped python that showed up on football pitch in Subotica found: He faces criminal charges

The police in Subotica, by order of the Basic Public Prosecutor in this northern Serbian town, will file a criminal complaint against a 41-year-old local on suspicion that he committed the crime of animal abuse.
It is suspected that he, due to inadequate care, allowed a python that was eventually found near a football pitch in Subotica, to escape from his apartment.

The python is being cared for in the Palic Zoo. A criminal complaint will be filed against the suspect, under regular procedure to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office, the police in Subotica announced.
"There were about a hundred children aged 6 to 15," an eyewitness said at the time.
