Watch police stop wrong-way driver, drunk and on cocaine, acting crazy near Ostruznica
The traffic police intercepted a 31-old driver of an Opel car who was going the wrong way on the Belgrade bypass near Ostruznica, the Interior Ministry, MUP, has confirmed.
They determined that the man had probationary driver's license, that he was in a state of complete intoxication, with 2.17 permilles of blood alcohol, and on cocaine.
Thanks to conscientious citizens who reported that a vehicle was traveling the wrong way on this part of the highway, it was stopped as soon as possible.
"We thank the citizens who reported this case of aggressive driving, and at the same time we urge our fellow citizens to provide the police with information about unsafe traffic behavior at every opportunity," the MUP said.
The perpetrator of this act was detained in official premises and misdemeanor charges have been filed against him.
