First photos: See what the police seized from those arrested for sending fake bomb threats
In a major operation by the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) and the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime, three people have been arrested in Serbia and one in the Czech Republic for sending reports about bombs supposedly planted (in schools and other instututions), Telegraf.rs has learned.
A search is underway at several locations.
IT equipment has been confiscated from the suspects.
As can be seen in the photographs, there were numerous computers and additional equipment in the apartments of the suspects.
The statement
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced yesterday that an extensive international operation is expected to be carried out today to arrest persons connected to frequent reports about explosive devices being planted in various educational institutions in the territory of Serbia.
The MUP said that it cooperates intensively with all relevant institutions on the national and international level to identify the IP addresses of those who send these emails, and users of the addresses.
From the beginning of the 2023/2024 school year until today, a total of 80 reports were received. sent to several dozen email addresses of various educational institutions in Serbia, said the MUP.
