Dacic: We evacuated two more families from the Gaza Strip

Two more families of Serbian citizens - Mona Abu Elaish, with three children and Giulya Al Hisi, with her husband and three children - have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip and yesterday they arrived in Belgrade by plane, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced.

"With the direct support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the embassies of the Republic of Serbia in Tel Aviv and Cairo, in coordination with the competent authorities of the State of Israel and the Arab Republic of Egypt, on December 4, two more families of Serbian citizens were evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Egypt" stated the MFA.

It is added that in accordance with procedures in effect, and within the given time deadline of 72 hours, the evacuated Serbian citizens and their family members then left the territory of Egypt and arrived in Belgrade on Wednesday on a regular flight from Cairo, via Istanbul.

"The evacuated Serbian citizens thanked the Ministry for the support and assistance provided so that they could safely leave the Gaza Strip and arrive in Serbia," the statement said.
