One million euros in cash found in Pancevo man's apartment: Here's what he told the judge

Defendant P.S. from Pancevo admitted to the commission of a criminal offense of unauthorized use of a business name and other special marks of goods or services, and the Basic Court in Pancevo accepted the plea bargain.

P.S. was sentenced to 6 months under house arrest.

The agreement was concluded between the public prosecutor from Pancevo and P.S.

During the search of the defendant's apartment on March 23, 2022, close to a million euros in cash was found in his house, which led to a financial investigation, from which the origin of the money could not be determined.

This was because the amount found was clearly disproportionate to the man's income, so the results of the investigation showed that this money came from criminal activity.

On this occasion, the court issued a decision permanently confiscating the defendant's money in the amount of around one million euros, a decision confirmed by the Appellate Court in Belgrade.
