More drama in North Macedonia: Attempted kidnapping of children from school yard

A kidnapping of children was attempted in the municipality of Karbinci. According to information coming from Mayor Viktor Paunov, the attempt took place in the yard of a school.

"This unfortunate event happened after 9:30 am, an attempt to kidnap two children, students. According to initial information, the kidnappers tried to put them in a vehicle that was at the beginning of the school yard," he says.

The vehicle was captured by security cameras.

"We are working to identify the license plates. Although they were far from the cameras, they were recorded," he said.

According to Paunov, the investigation is ongoing.

"Parents should not get upset and we appeal on the Interior Ministry to increase security in the municipality," said the mayor.

North Macedonia is in a state of shock after the kidnapping and murder of a 14-year-old girl, Vanja Gorchevska.
