Telegraf at the spot where Vanja's kidnappers set car they used on fire; body was found nearby: Horrid images
A Telegraf.rs team was today in the North Macedonian village of Brazda, where a burned car was found. The vehicle is believed to have been used to transport the abducted 14-year-old girl Vanja (Vanya) Gorchevska a week ago. The girl's body was buried nearby and was discovered on Sunday.
As a Telegraf.rs journalist reports from the scene, traces of a burned car are visible in a field.
The photos show the traces of the fire.
A dirt road leads to this place and only a few people are aware of the spot.
There is not much traffic on a local road leading to the village of Brazda and there are two places where drivers can leave that road and continue on to the place where the car was set on fire.
While the suspects were driving the Citroen to this place, the terrified Vanja was locked in the trunk, her hands and feet tied before she was put in a sleeping bag.
As the three suspects currently in custody accused of kidnapping and murder, have confessed, they first killed Vanya around 10 am on the day she was taken, then buried her and set fire to the vehicle.
According to official information from the investigation, the body of 14-year-old Vanja Gorchevska was buried near the burned car, in a field in the village of Brazda, near the Stenkovec sports airport.
The main suspect in the murder, Ljupco Palevski, has fled North Macedonia - first to Belgrade and from there to Bulgaria. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
