An emergency situation has also been declared in the territory of the entire municipality of Crna Trava, reports RTS.

The snow cover reaches between 80 centimeters and one meter, with snowdrifts exceeding one meter.

"All settlements are completely snow-bound, no roads are passable. We are starting to clear the roads, but we won't be able to do that during the next week because we don't have enough machines," said the commander of the Emergency Situations HQ, Slavoljub Blagojevic.

200 residents in two local communities do not have electricity supply, and schools in some will not work for the next two days.

"The situation is regular in Crna Trava itself, the problem is the (surrounding) local communities, and most of the residents live in those. 600 have been cut off. It will take us at least ten days to reach everyone," said Blagojevic.
