"Zarko, can you hear how loved you were?" Such applause was never heard at Yugoslav Drama Theater
Applause in honor of Zarko Lausevic, a well-known Yugoslav actor who recently passed away, lasted 5 minutes and 38 seconds, at the end of a commemoration held in his honor today at the Yugoslav Drama Theater (Jugoslovensko Dramsko Pozoriste) in Belgrade.
The packed hall of the theater rose to its feet and no one seem to want to stop applauding - for Zarko, for everything that the "prince of acting" left as his herirage.
Speeches were previously given by Mima Karadzic, Dragan Bjelogrlic, who barely managed to finish his address, Petar Bozovic, Svetozar Cvetkovic, Milan Maric, Voja Brajovic, Irfan Mensur, Tamara Vuckovic Manojlovic on behalf of the Yugoslav Drama Theater, Vida Ognjenovic, and Ceca Bojkovic.
Listen to and watch the last applause for Zarko in the video at the top of the page.
