Petar was sitting 20 meters from the man who blew himself up in Cacak: "The blast was awful, I'm shaking"

The identity of the man who blew himself up with a bomb at the railway station in the town of Cacak around 9 o'clock on Thursday is still unknown. According to people who happened to be there, the scenes were gruesome.

"I was sitting on a bench some 20 meters away. I was waiting to collect my pension from a nearby post office, so I sat there for a while. The blast was awful. I was shaking. Later, they took us inside the railway station. Afterwards, I heard that a man had killed himself," Petar Djurovic, an eyewitness to the tragedy, told RINA.

According to other eyewitnesses, before this incident, a passenger train and then a freight train passed by, so it is assumed that the man was waiting to be alone in order to activate the explosive device. He was sitting alone on a bench that was separated from the others.

Investigative teams were still at the railway station at the time of this reporting.

The reasons behind this tragedy are still unknown.
