Three people were killed and one was wounded in a clash between migrants in the Horgos area along Serbia's northern border with Hungary. However, not only people in the village of Horgos are in fear, but those in Subotica, too, because shots were heard in that town as well.

According to residents of Subotica, the shooting lasted for about 25 minutes, and the sound was getting louder, as if the armed migrants were approaching the town. They point out that the shooting was heard close to some homes.

In the early hours of the morning, the locals heard sirens and saw a large number of police vehicles and ambulances heading towards the scene of the killings.

In a video lasting about a minute recorded early this morning by a resident of Subotica, continuous shooting can be heard. Some shots sound like firecrackers, while bursts of fire can also be clearly discerned.

The bodies of three migrants were found in the abandoned buildings of the former agricultural estate Backa, while another person was wounded, the Serbian police confirmed earlier in the day.

The killings and the wounding occurred as two groups of migrants clashed using firearms.

Strong police forces are on the ground looking for the perpetrators, while the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Subotica has been informed.
