Vucic on opening of Belgrade's new main train station: Prokop is symbol of dedicated work vs. empty promises

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke on the eve of the opening of the Prokop railway station to say that this is one of the most beautiful train station buildings in Europe.

On his Instagram account, he shared a video made in April this year in which he announced the grand opening of Prokop, and compared the way it was then, to the new, "world-class" look of it now.

"This magnificent facility is one of the most beautiful station buildings in Europe and a great success of our Serbia. Today, Prokop is also a symbol of the difference between empty promises and dedicated work," he wrote in the caption.

Vucic will attend the official opening ceremony of the new railway station today, which is scheduled for 6 pm.

Work on the construction of the new station building in Prokop began in August 2022 with a deadline of 15 months.
