Long Live Serbia! Air Serbia plane carrying North Macedonians, Serbs, Montenegrins departs Tel Aviv
The government of North Macedonia is paying for the flight
Another Air Serbia repatriation flight from Tel Aviv, which was announced yesterday, is taking place today with the plane having departed the airport in Israel.
It is carrying citizens from North Macedonia, Serbia, and Montenegro, who are being evacuated from the war-torn area. At the beginning of the flight, Dusan Vujovic, charge d'affaires at the Serbian Embassy in Israel, addressed the passengers, after whose words some passengers shouted, "Long Live Serbia!"
Most of those on this Air Serbia flight are citizens of North Macedonia, and there are also some people from Serbia and from Montenegro, who will continue their journey from Skopje to Belgrade.
"We have boarded the last passenger. I wish you all the best and greet you on behalf of the embassies of Serbia and North Macedonia, the consulate of Montenegro and the embassy of Albania, on behalf of my dear colleagues who organized everything. First you will fly to Skopje, then to Belgrade. Take care and I hope to see you in better times. All the best," said Dusan Vujovic, followed by the shouts of, "Long Live Serbia!," heard from the aisles.
The plane is evacuating passengers left behind by other airlines, who found themselves without options to return home.
The government of North Macedonia is paying for this flight.
