Vucic meets with speaker of Iraqi parliament, thanks him for his country not recognizing Kosovo
I thanked the friendly Republic of Iraq for its consistent and principled position regarding non-recognition of unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mohammed al-Halbousi, with whom he discussed further improvement of bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Iraq, as well as the current situation in the Western Balkans and the Middle East, the necessity of dialogue in the context of solving all open issues.
On his Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav" the president stated that he thanked Iraq for its consistent position regarding Kosovo and Metohija.
"I am glad that I had the opportunity to welcome Halbousi, with whom I discussed further improvement of bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Iraq, as well as the current situation in the Western Balkans and the Middle East, and the necessity of dialogue in the context of solving all open issues.
I thanked the friendly Republic of Iraq for its consistent and principled position regarding non-recognition of unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo and expressed determination that, in the coming period, we will continue to develop versatile and mutually beneficial cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally," the president stressed in his Instagram post.
