Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that there is no indication that any of our citizens have been abducted or wounded in Israel, except for one man who was lightly injured, while most Serbian tourists have now left Israel, reports Tanjug.

Dacic was on TV Prva when he said that Serbia will do everything in its power for our people who are there and stated that solidarity between countries has started to function when it comes to helping evacuate them from Israel, so Air Serbia transported a number Montenegrin citizens over two days, while Montenegrins transported 11 of our people last night.

"There were about 200 Serbian tourists in Israel, most of them have left this country, but new people are constantly arriving. There are not only our tourists and pilgrims there, there are also people who work in Israel, such as the man who was wounded. Some of ours had sought asylum in Israel and picked the wrong time for it and they'll probably look for a way to get out of there," he said.

Dacic said that in order to organize an evacuation flight, it was necessary for the Government of Serbia to make a decision about it, which was done, so one was an evacuation flight, and the others were regular Air Serbia flights.

"Air Serbia, unlike other carriers, still flies to Israel. The pilgrims from Serbia and others who were in Israel did not go there with Air Serbia, but using other airlines, such as WizzAir and the like, but those did not take care of taking them back to Serbia, instead they were transported by Air Serbia," said Dacic.

Asked how the situation in Israel and Palestine will develop further, he said that there is always a political solution and that is how everything always ends.

"The problem here is that there is no possibility of a political solution that would be acceptable to everyone. We will see who will come out with any peace initiative at all and how the peace talks will proceed in general. It should also be known that there are several factions within the Palestinian organization and people," said Dacic. He added that everything depends on the stance other Arab countries will take on this problem.

"The question is how the political process will proceed and whether it will come to it at all or will things happen on the battlefield and it will be the same again - whoever wins on the battlefield takes everything," said Dacic.

He stressed that it is up to us not to support violence and loss of human life, adding that Serbia condemned terrorism as a universal evil and assessed that there is no justification for the suffering and terrorist acts in Israel, that the lack of a political solution on certain issues creates a basis for such escalation of violence, and this is exactly what is happening in the territories of Israel and Palestine.

Dacic also stressed that the situation is exactly the same in Kosovo in Metohija and that the prime minister of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, refuses to reach a political solution.

"All moves that are carried out in Kosovo and Metohija, starting with arrests, accusations, the killing of people, lead to resistance among the Serb people, and that is why it is important that Serbia must have a good relationship with the Serbs there so that they do not make mistakes that can cost us dearly," said Dacic.

He pointed out that the accusations against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his son - that the latter allegedly participated in terrorist attacks - are not accidental and that this is not done individually but institutionally.

"It has become an ugly practice. When they can't attack with arguments, they attack his family with lies, and that's the worst, when you involve children in order to attack a parent. That's how they think they will weaken Vucic. You can see that these are lies, but later nobody goes back to them, and all the consequences and bad things fall on the family," said Dacic.
