Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said that this morning 127 citizens of Serbia, who departed from Tel Aviv, landed at the Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade, on board Air Serbia planes.

The PM was on the Happy TV morning program when she said that almost all big global air carriers have canceled their flights out of Tel Aviv, while the Serbian national airline continued to fly, and that the bill was footed by the Government of Serbia.

"I have all the information. We worked on it all day yesterday, you played a video from Kovilovo from the Krajisnik Zbor (Krajina Assembly), where I was with President Aleksandar Vucic, after that event we talked about the Air Serbia repatriation flight, 127 of our citizens were on that unscheduled flight. They landed (in Belgrade) around 01:45 this morning The president and I monitored that flight, along with the entire Air Serbia team. They (the passengers) had an hour to board the planes, there were two at the airport. They (critics in Serbia) attacked us without knowing that we were working on it (getting people back)," the prime minister said.

She added that it was known that there was a group of citizens who went on a trip to Tel Aviv using low-cost carriers, wcich in turn immediately canceled their flights once the instability began.

"The vast majority canceled their flights yesterday. Air Serbia remains one of the few companies that still flies (to Israel). One plane is over Turkey, landing in Belgrade in an hour," Brnabic said earlier in the morning, adding:

"We have another flight scheduled for tomorrow at around 19:00. We should all be proud of our national airline, it is still flying, they have not left our citizens in the lurch. I am infinitely grateful to them, they are our joy and pride. They have their own security controls, security mechanisms. Nobody's flying anymore, we proudly are. Now when you look at it, imagine if we didn't have a national carrier?," she said.

All costs are paid by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

"Here, it goes without saying that the state reacts immediately and pays for everything. The tycoon media (in Serbia) could hardly wait to attack us, they didn't even wait long enough for us to be able to react. They once again tried to use a very difficult and tragic situation for a political attack against the Government and on President Vucic, without any sense of shame. Did we hear them say, sorry? We have not and never will. They will use every opportunity for attacks, not to help our citizens. It's clear to everyone, that there is no objectivity and professionalism. Air Serbia continues its regular flights," Brnabic stressed while appearing on Happy TV.
