Ana Brnabic, Goran Vesic and Husein Memic were in attendance

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic and Minister of Tourism Husein Memic visited the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge today.

On that occasion, the beginning of construction work on an observation deck on Mt. Kablar was also marked.

It has been announced that as part of the visit, the guests will tour the final works on a stop in Medjuvrsje, as well as the construction of the road leading to the top of Mt. Kablar.

"Some 123 million dinars have been earmarked for tourism in the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge, and an additional 150 million are expected for the development of villages," Memic pointed out and added that foreign currency inflow is 10% higher compared to last year, as well as that this part of the country is seeing an increase in the number of foreign tourists.

"This is a big event for (the town of) Cacak and the whole region. All this would not have happened without the Milos Veliki Highway. Cacak is already seeing investments," stated Vesic, and promised new jobs and further development there.

According to him, the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is a "Serbian gem."

"People will be able to live with dignity here, to earn a living," Vesic continued, stressing the tourist and cultural importance of the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Prime Minister Brnabic thanked everyone for their ideas and support, and said, "You don't see such rallying around something anymore, the way the people of Kablar do it."
