The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, has told Minister of Internal Affairs of the Provisional Pristina Institutions Xhelal Svecla to stop lying and stressed that his intention is to accuse Belgrade of alleged involvement in the events in the village of Banjska.

"Kurti's extremist Xhelal Svecla continued today (Wednesday) with heinous lies that he has not stopped with since the moment of the tragic events in Banjska, with the intention of accusing Belgrade of alleged involvement in those events that Albin Kurti created with his anti-Serb policy," Petkovic said in a statement.

He pointed out that "the paper that Svecla published today as some kind of proof of involvement of the Serbian Army in the events in Banjska" is a lie.

"It is not a paper about any handover of a weapon, as Svecla is deceptively saying, but rather an ordinary technical sheet that goes with every weapon and which is officially called the 'packing list'. It only contains the nomenclature number and type of weapon and is not any proof of takeover of arms," explained Petkovic.

He added that Svecla also lied that a Serb died in Novi Pazar, that Milan Radoicic was treated at the VMA, and that an alleged Gendarmerie vehicle was seized in Banjska, stating that it was a vehicle "for which there is information that it was imported from Croatia and has nothing to do with the Serbian Army or the police."

"That wasn't enough, either, so for the fourth day in a row he continued to lie that Serbs from central Serbia took part in the events in the village of Banjska, which is completely untrue. So Svecla, stop lying," said Petkovic.
