Entry into Banjska in northern Kosovo and Metohija still banned
Elsani said that two people were arrested in a hotel in the village of Banjska, after, as he claims, a car full of weapons was found in the hotel parking lot
The situation in the village of Banjska, after the clashes between the so-called Kosovo police and local Serbs, is still tense. Entry into the village is still banned, while the villagers can go in and out for medical purposes, as well as to buy basic groceries, the deputy director of the so-called Kosovo police for the North Veton Elsani told Tanjug.
Elsani said that two people were arrested in a hotel in the village of Banjska, after, as he claims, a car full of weapons was found in the hotel parking lot.
The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, previously announced that Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija are going through unprecedented terror "about which you will not hear a word of condemnation from international representatives," and that special Pristina forces known as Rosu are entering Serb homes and beating civilians, slapping and insulting them.
"During the day in the North, a Serb ambulance driver and a paramedic were detained for several hours at the Rosu base in Brnjak. Today, parts of the Rajska Banja complex were damaged, and three employees were arbitrarily arrested. The Kosovo police also demolished the premises of the Post Office in Banjska," Petkovic stressed in last night's statement.
