The new ATP ranking is out: Novak is safe in top spot until the beginning of November, and then...
There have been no major changes compared to last week
The Davis Cup week is behind us, we can be satisfied with the results of the Serbian national team led by Novak Djokovic, but also with a look at the new ATP ranking.
There have been no major changes, so Nole remained in first place with 11,795 points, while Carlos Alcaraz is second with 8,535. Therefore the difference remained identical, 3,260 points, and there will be no problems for Novak until November.
Djokovic has far more to defend until the end of the season, there arethe titles in Tel Aviv, Astana and Turin, as well as the Paris final, while the Spaniard can only profit. In addition, we will not see the Serbian ace in China, but what is most important is the fact that things are still up to him.
Novak also began his 391st week at the top, extending his record and approaching 400.
Only two points changes were seen in the top 50, and one of them affected Miomir Kecmanovic who is up by one place, at 47. Laslo Djere is still ranked 37th, while Dusan Lajovic is 52nd. Hamad Medjedovic is also one spot higher now, currently 120th in the rankings.
One more important change was seen in the WTA ranking, and that is Barbora Krejcikova getting into the top ten. She won the tournament in San Diego during last week. The finalist of the same competition, Sofia Kenin, went up as many as 40 places and is now 53rd, while Serbia's best ranked player, Olga Danilovic, remained 109th.
