Starting tomorrow until September 22, as part of the "ROADPOL Safety Days" project, the Serbian traffic police will be implementing an international campaign of increased traffic control in the territory of the entire country.

This campaign is simultaneously implemented in 30 European member countries of the ROADPOL organization (European roads policing network), while the project is supported by the European Commission and aims to raise awareness of the importance of complying with traffic regulations and reducing the number of traffic accidents and the consequences of accidents on European roads.

All available police officers, as well as all traffic control devices, will be deployed during the campaign, the Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) has announced.

"During the implementation of the project, traffic police will put special emphasis on the detection of violations that endanger traffic safety the most, such as speeding, illegal overtaking, driving under the influence and illegal use of mobile phones while driving."

Also, as part of the "ROADPOL Safety Days" project, Wednesday, September 20, will see the marking of "a day without fatalities on Europe's roads."
