President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke today in Belgrade with the EU special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and other regional Western Balkans issues, Miroslav Lajcak.

On Monday within the Bled forum, Lajcak spoke with the prime minister of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, after which he announced the continuation of the dialogue in September.

Previously, Lajcak, after a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar in Brussels, stressed that the challenges in the Western Balkans have not disappeared, and that the situation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija is at the top of his agenda.

He added that he invited Escobar to Brussels for detailed discussions and meetings in order to prepare for the coming months and further strengthen joint efforts.

The meeting today was held in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic in Belgrade.
