Eyewitness to brutal murder in Mladenovac restaurant: "It all happened in 15 minutes, he just wanted a song"
With a quick and efficient action, six suspects got arrested and are now held in police custody that can last for up to 48 hours
The body of murder victim Dusan Antonijevic (47) from Mladenovac has been sent for an autopsy by order of the prosecutor, while six suspects are now detained by the police for up to 48 hours.
They are suspected of beating a man to death in the Panorama restaurant in this suburban Belgrade municipality. Antonijevic died a few minutes before midnight last night.
"It all happened in 15 minutes. There was a group of young people deciding what music was played in the tavern. At one point, Dusan wanted to order a song. They started striking him, they say a blow to the head with a glass bottle was the fatal one. The police were in the establishment until this morning... The body was lying in a pool of blood until the morning," said one of the witnesses of the crime and adds that the suspects are "frequent guests in the tavern."
According to him, Dusan was "killed innocent, he was a wonderful man".
"The murder was seen by his son who was celebrating his birthday that day," adds the eyewitness.
Since last night, residents of Mladenovac have been stunned by the murder of the man nicknamed "Dule Pezo."
They know him as a hardworking and honest man who, they claim, "wouldn't hurt a fly."
