The police in Novi Sad quickly and efficiently arrested N.L. (23), D.D. (24), O.R. (21) and B.G. (26), who are suspects in a shooting that happened last night in Fruskogorska Street in Futog, when Nikola S. (19) died instantly, while Milos M. (20), who was seriously wounded, died later in the hospital.
According to information available to us, one of the two victims tried to escape and was later found near a cafe before being taken to the hospital where he eventually passed away.
A video published by Telegraf.rs shows special police armed with rifles surrounding a house and entering it. There was one suspect in each of the rooms. The operation was carried out early in the morning, so they were detained while still in their underwear. They did not resist arrest.
"(Suspect) O.R. recently got out of prison where he was sent because he was transporting migrants. Otherwise, Milos. M. tried to escape and he was found a little farther from the scene of the shooting, near a cafe, while Nikola S. was found right next to the car," a source from the investigation told us.
The young men were shot at from a car, in the night between Thursday and Friday, around midnight.
All suspects are now held in police detention for up to 48 hours, and the police continue to work to determine all the circumstances of the event.
