Scandal brewing up at US Open: Americans hiding something, Grand Slam tournament's draw won't be broadcast!
A fairly odd decision
The last Grand Slam tournament of the year, the famous US Open, has practically started with the qualifying matches, while the main part is scheduled to be played from August 28 to September 10, when the US Open will get a new "ruler" who could upset Carlos Alcaraz, the current champion.
Of course, the Spaniard's biggest opponent will be Serbia's Novak Djokovic, who has after two years returned to the US, since he was previously banned from entering the country over his refusing to take the Covid vaccine.
Djokovic has already shown that he is ready to play against Alcaraz. Last weekend he won the tournament in Cincinnati 2-1 in the final, after almost four hours of tennis, although there were moments when it seemed that everything would be over and go in favor of Alcaraz.
However, as claimed by the Spanish Marca, a huge scandal is brewing up at the US Open. Namely, the Americans will hold the draw for the tournament at 18:00 Serbian time, and for the first time it will be held in strict secrecy, without any TV broadcast or live stream online.
This means that even Novak himself will not know who he will playing against and what his path through the tournament will be, until organizers announce it.
A fairly odd decision by the last Grand Slam of the season.
