Ivan Stoilkovic on Albin Kurti's visit to North Macedonia: "He increasingly resembles a political time bomb"

The leader of the Democratic Party of Serbs in North Macedonia and member of the assembly there, Ivan Stoilkovic, says that "Albin Kurti days" in North Macedonia only confirmed that he is increasingly resembling a political time bomb set in the foundations of regional cooperation and stability, and that appropriate conclusions should be drawn from that.

"Snow doesn't fall to cover the mountain, but for every animal to show its tracks. This old saying at this moment perfectly describes the political situation that arose after the unannounced, undiplomatic and in every way inappropriate and unusual visit of Albin Kurti to (North) Macedonia, both in actions and messages to the domestic public, the region, and if you want, even wider.

1. The pressure to which the (North) Macedonia state and people are normally exposed, after the visit of Albin Kurti, produced a strong homogenization of the Macedonian people, who are less and less ready to believe lies. No one can hide anymore behind the meaningless excuses of the international community, nor behind the 'massaged' statements of Albanian politicians. Another first secret, but now brutal blow to Macedonian history and an equally secret, but now open cry to Greater Albania has greatly affected the overall mood of the Macedonian people.

2. Constitutional changes as an indispensable topic of the political life of Macedonia after the visit of Albin Kurti lost all meaning and additionally determined and confirmed the positions of Macedonian citizens, slightly over 80 percent of whom do not want to agree to blackmail and dictates coming from Bulgaria. We will probably never know whether Kurti deliberately buried constitutional changes at this moment with this provocative visit (carried out on an order) or by accident (out of madness).

3. When there is no topic of constitutional changes in the political life, any sense of having a parliamentary majority is lost, former communists (Social Democratic Alliance of Macedonia - Kovacevski) and Marxist-Leninists (Democratic Union for Integration - Ali Ahmeti), who had only that one item on the agenda. The fact that this is the most corrupt government in Macedonian history and a government that records failures in all segments of social development doesn't need to be particularly reiterated. All these events opened up and gave new life to the topic of quickly holding early parliamentary elections.

4. In the overall political mess without any good news, thank God, thanks above all to Kurti, the all-Albanian Greater Albania policy in the region has been completely exposed and there is a division within the bloc of Albanian parties, but, no illusions - it's only a competition of who will be more radical in their statements," concluded Stoilkovic.
