The owner of an entrepreneurial store in Medulin, Croatia, who sold counterfeits of well-known global brands has been fined 6,000 euros, while 884 fake sunglasses, football jerseys, pieces of clothing, wallets and watches have been confiscated.
The Croatian Customs announced that by implementing increased surveillance measures in the Medulin area they prevented the illegal sale of 884 pieces of various items found in the store owned by the man, a Zagreb resident, who was previously also found to be selling fake goods, writes Poslovni Dnevnik.
These are sunglasses, football jerseys, clothes, wallets, watches and other items with branding markings belonging to Ray-Ban, Gucci, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Monster and Nike - which he sold as such "without obtaining the rights holders' approval."
